POLYTHELENE (PE)
Polythene (PE) is chemically the simplest polymer. The types of polythenes that we handled are:
PEBD Typical: Low density. Nontoxic. Flexible. Light. It is transparent. Raincoat. Low cost.
Applications:
- Bags of all type, congealed, industrial supermarkets, boutiques, baking, etc.
- Films for land.
- Envasin automatic packaging, foods and industrial products: milk, water, plastics, etc.
- Stretch film.
HDPE High Density Polythene ; density equal or smaller to 0,941 g/cm3. It has a low level of ramifications, thus his density is high, the intermolecular forces are high also.
HDPE Typical: Resistant to the low temperatures; High resistance to the tension; compression, traction; Low density in comparison with metals or other materials; -Raincoat; Nontoxic; Little dimensional stability, creep.
Aplicaciones
- Packages for: detergents, lye, oils automotive, shampoo, milky.
- Bags for supermarkets.
- Drawers for fish, soda waters, beers.
- Packages for painting, ice creams, oils.
Polythene is used for different types from end items, for each of them are also used different processes, between most common are:
- Extrusion: Film, cables, threads, pipes.
- Moulding by injection: Parts in third dimension with complicated forms
- Blown injection and: Bottles of different sizes
- Blown extrusion and: Bags or tubes of thin caliber
- Blown extrusion and of hollow bodies: Bottles of different sizes.
Polythene has a translucent milky color; this color can be modified with three common procedures:
- To color all the PE before its processing
- To use a color concentrate (well-known in English like masterbatch), which represents the form economic and easy to color a polymer.
